Why Thursdays
Facepunch patches Rust on Thursdays and forces a wipe on the first Thursday of every month. Wiping on the same clock keeps our schedule and theirs in step instead of fighting each other — and the server picks up each week's update as part of the same restart.
What a wipe actually does
A map wipe generates a brand new island and clears every base, container and body on it. You keep your blueprints, so you're not re-learning the tech tree every week.
A blueprint wipe additionally resets everything you have learned. Everyone starts the month on identical footing.
